What is LEAP?

LEAP is a two-year IMLS funded grant project that advances work began at the New York Public Library in conjunction with 19 partner libraries across the US and is coordinated through national strategic conversations led by DPLA.

Through the LEAP grant partners will:

  • Expand and provide outreach for the existing SimplyE (Library Simplified) application

  • Engage in in-depth planning for its sustainable maintenance and ongoing development

  • Facilitate a national conversation about the challenges and potential of library ebooks

  • Build consensus around a possible solution addressing these needs an opportunities, and begin to prototype that solution
