Charge

  • Foster community-building throughout the field by promoting library ebook projects among the wider library community

  • Create library-drive change by engaging with the broader challenges to a field-wide ecosystem of affordable, accessible library eBooks, building on previous and ongoing efforts of consortial library systems across the country
  • Ensure transparency across project communications

Deliverables

  • Develop website and communication channels (ie social media presence). Channels should be seamless, accessible, opt-in

  • Identify key audiences

  • Create and continuously update a calendar of events (conferences, expos etc.) and a list of ambassadors who would go to these events

  • Build a repository to preserve, curate and promote practices and ideas

  • Provide a channel for libraries to articulate and prioritize their needs with regard to ebooks and econtent

  • Provide visuals (i.e. infographics) and talking points

  • Advocate for specific standards in the industry
