Unglue.it supports authors, publishers, or other rights holders who want their ebooks to be free. They provide durable and effective distribution for ebooks that are free. They are part of the Free Ebook Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization. The website features a wide variety of types of open content, including contemporary fiction and nonfiction, textbooks and academic publications, and public domain.
Tips
Review only the books on your Spreadsheet tab
Err on the side of inclusivity!
- Because these books will take up no shelf space at no cost, we can offer libraries a wider selection
- However, we also want our offerings to remain small enough to be valuable - it’s a tight negotiation!

Process
Reviewing a title:
- Take a look at the book’s metadata
- For more info, like description, click on the link
- Highlight cell > ‘Enter’ > ‘Backspace’ > Enter
- If the link is not hyperlinked, copy/paste or:
- If you’d like to open the book, it’s OK to read the PDF version if available
- Don’t feel pressure to read from every book, or for too long!
- As you’re going through, if you notice incorrect characters, or a hyphen at the end of metadata, please fix them

If you do NOT think a book should be included,
- Highlight the row
- Click the paint bucket icon in the toolbar at the top
- Make the row RED
If you’re unsure, or would like a second opinion, please highlight the row YELLOW
Optional: if you think a book is awesome and something we should highlight in the Exchange (like a staff pick), please highlight the row GREEN
