The purpose of the DPLA Ebook Workgroup is to hold focused conversations about developing a framework for a national ebook strategy. Members contribute to and collaborate on four workflows: collection channels; operational readiness; best practices and advocacy; and organizational structure and governance. Topics include: User stories; Scoping tools/Challenges relating to content types; Public domain works opportunities; Alternative formats and micro-imprints; Defining the national marketplace; Licensing best practices workgroup; and Demonstration projects. |

As part of its core mission of maximizing access to our shared culture, the Digital Public Library of America seeks to expand the availability of widely read ebooks for the general public. DPLA is investigating multiple channels to strengthen the ebook ecosystem.
