Notes/History:

  • Connecticut applied and was accepted very early on, but had trouble getting their technology implemented
  • The hub relies on technology support from UConn IT, which means they have to put in a formal request and wait to be scheduled for a sprint
  • Jennifer runs the REPOX implementation and can do the XSLT implementation herself
  • The initial ingest was to include quite a large number of records from Yale (about 100,000), however, due to the way Yale's digital library had been set up, there was no way to tell records from digitized objects from non-digitized ones. Furthermore, links in the records all led back to the record in the Yale digital library catalog for the item that was entered first (i.e. all the links led to the wrong thing).
  • Because of the above issue, we are going forward (in late October 2016), with just the non-Yale items (only about 50,000). Yale is actually fixing their records (this was a legacy implementation and not favored anyway), and think that work will be done in Spring 2017.
